"The maths project with Surrey Maths School has been a fantastic opportunity for our Year 6 children. It has not only developed their mathematical thinking and problem-solving skills, but has also encouraged them to work collaboratively, communicate their ideas and listen to the perspectives of others. 

The children have particularly enjoyed the challenge of applying their maths to real-life problems, giving them a greater understanding of how mathematics can be used beyond the classroom. It has been wonderful to see their confidence grow as they tackle unfamiliar challenges, persevere when things become difficult and celebrate success as a team. 

The project has had a really positive impact on the children’s wider learning, developing their independence, resilience, creativity and teamwork skills. It is a valuable experience that our children genuinely look forward to and thoroughly enjoy."
