Women in STEM Summer School

At Surrey Maths School we believe that everyone should feel welcome in the STEM community and recognise the difficulties that under-represented groups often face in feeling like they belong.

Our Women in STEM Summer School is a two-day course based at University of Surrey in June and July 2025 with the aim of building community amongst the budding female Mathematicians of Surrey.

Over the course of the two days, students will have the opportunity to celebrate Women in STEM both past and present, explore new mathematical concepts and collaborate with like-minded peers. Each session is designed to not only develop resilience and confidence in mathematical ability but also foster our values of collaboration and innovation. With the help of current SuMS students, we hope to alleviate any concerns about pursuing STEM subjects post-16, at university and beyond.

The summer school is completely free with lunch provided. We are also able to provide support with travel expenses if necessary.
